Affirmation of Faith
Our Salvation
For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and we who have been baptized into union with Christ are enveloped by Him. We are no longer Jews or Gentiles, or slaves or free men, or even merely men or women, but we are all the same– we are Christians; we are one in Jesus!” Galatians 3:26-28 (LB)
When we know and love God, and live in harmony with His purpose for our lives, it produces tremendous benefits in our lives:
Clear Conscience There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1 Help with Weakness Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 Purpose And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Security Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39 Power & Strength I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 Life & Peace For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Who we are:
We are a CHRISTIAN people.
We are a HOLINESS people.
We are a MISSIONAL people.
Why we exist as a Church:
- To Love God with all the heart, soul, mind, and strength, and one’s neighbor as oneself (Exodus 20:3-6; Mark 12:28-31; Romans 13:8-10).
- Pressing upon the attention of the unsaved the claims of the gospel, inviting them to the house of the Lord. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:14-16)
- The Great Commission:
“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” (Matt. 28:19-20) |
